The Liguria modular sofa was drawn after three summers at our designer's family home above Camogli — a meditation on what it means to truly relax outdoors. Generous in proportion, low to the ground, and built around a quietly sculptural teak frame, it is meant to be lived on, not just looked at.
Each cushion is filled with quick-dry foam wrapped in down-alternative fibre, and clad in solution-dyed acrylic that improves with age. The frame is hand-finished in our Pietrasanta workshop, signed and numbered by its maker.

Dust weekly with a soft brush. Apply our teak oil twice annually — spring and autumn — to slow the silvering process if desired. Cushion covers are machine-washable at 30°C. Store covers indoors during winter for the longest life.
This season we travelled the slow coast — from Cap Corse to the Cycladic shore — to find rooms without walls. What we brought back is less a catalogue than a diary of light: how it falls on weathered teak at four o'clock, how linen takes the salt, how a low chair becomes the centre of a long lunch.

OLEA began in a small workshop on the Tuscan coast — a single boatbuilder turned to garden furniture because the boats outlasted everything around them. Fifty-three years later, the same family runs the same workshop, and our furniture is built to outlast the gardens it goes into.
We make outdoor lounge sets the slow way, in Pietrasanta, and we ship them, fully assembled or in two pieces, to homes across Europe — from Bergen to Lisbon, from Galway to Athens.
Our workshop sits four kilometres from the marble quarries that supplied Michelangelo. Eighteen makers — frame builders, upholsterers, finishers — work along one long bench, and every set passes through every pair of hands.
Nothing is mass-produced. A four-seat lounge takes around 40 hours to build. We make about 2,400 sets a year, and we won't go faster.
Visits are welcome by appointment, year-round. We often serve coffee.

Pietrasanta is two hours from Pisa, four from Milan. Mornings start with espresso at the long bench; afternoons end in the gardens, where every collection is set up under olive trees.
We host one to four visitors at a time. Trade and architecture visits welcome. Lunch optional but recommended — we have a good cook next door.
